• Peter Young RIBA graduated from the prestigious School of Architecture at Manchester University in 1968 and immediately began to work for his father, learning how to manage a successful family architectural practice.

 

  • He moved on to work as a Consultant Architect with Lambeth City Council, London in the 70's. Here he developed an in-depth understanding of the needs and idiosyncrasies of a busy suburban planning department.

 

  • America beckoned when the multinational Bechtel Corporation offered Peter a position in Texas working as Assistant Lead Project Architect.

 

  • 2 Years later Peter returned to England with the intention of following in his father's footsteps and founded a small, family run architectural practice specialising is obtaining difficult planning consents, often in green belt area or to listed buildings.

 

  • Hundreds of building schemes later, Peter Young and Co Architects are very happy to provide a bespoke service focusing on attention to detail with an innate understanding of planning law and procedure.
